OUGD406 - Communication Is A Virus: Tea Research

After having spoken to my group today (Harrison, Danielle, Beth and Sarah) we came up with the concept of designing cardboard cups which could be distributed in order to advertise and make people drink tea. We also thought that it would be interesting to have a different flavoured tea which would most suit each member of the family. I have taken on the role to research different cups and mugs in relation to each member. It could be argued that we are being very stereotypical and it may not be accurate all of the time, however we want it to be lighthearted and almost too stereotypical to the point where other members of the family could drink a cup of tea which isn't suited to them, yet they would be able to find the humour in it and it would generate conversation as a result.

Alongside the mugs we have considered having individual packaging for each kind of mug and we are also in talks about whether or not to provide the cups for free once the teabags are bought, or whether to actually buy them separately or keep them as a collectable. There were many varying opinions within the talk which made it hard to decide on one definite idea, I am hoping that by Friday once we have carried out our individual research we will be able to make a firm decision which everyone is happy with.

I am going to document any research I find in relation to this topic on this post. I am hoping that as I find research it will lead to more ideas being generated and this in turn could strengthen the concept itself.
