OUGD404 - Design Principles: What Is A Double Page Spread?

At the end of our last session Phil asked us to find out what a double page spread is and what it does. I found this definition online. It is basically used to compose text and image in an interesting way and can be really useful if people want to create articles whilst using the separation in the middle as a tool. I found a few examples which show this below.
