This is a list of supermarket chains in the United Kingdom. Grocery sales in the UK are dominated by Tesco, Asda,Sainsbury's and Morrisons. These "big four" had a combined market share of 73.6 per cent of the UK grocery market in the 12 weeks ending 30 March 2014. However, all four have experienced significant declines in recent years and shoppers turn more to discount retailers such as Aldi and Lidl.
