OUGD601 - Context of Practice 3: Tatton Park Food Lovers Festival

Today I went to the Food Lovers Festival at Tatton Park to gather further primary research. I went to a food show with two different chefs which was really interesting. It was something I had never experienced before and I quite liked how the kitchen area was designed and presented.

In a similar way to the Liverpool Food Festival, I took lots of photographs to reference all of the differently designed jars and packaging for inspiration at a later date.

I was also fortunate enough to be able to pick up some leaflets about ReFood which is another sustainable food organisation. Interestingly, I didn't see anybody engaging with this when I was there, everyone was more bothered about the food and everything else that was going on.

When I arrived, I was given a free Lakeland bag with their magazine inside. This was quite different to the Lidl bag I received at the Liverpool Food Festival, and had more of a focus on the gadgets surrounding food as well as the food itself. This did give me the idea to start looking at Lakeland in a bit more depth as they have so many existing products which are really innovative, so I would have to make sure that anything I design hasn't been done by them already.
